It's that time of year once again - yes, it has come around quickly - and time for you to start planning (possibly making) your entries for the annual Nottingham Castle Open 2016 exhibition.
With FREE ENTRY yet again for the forth conescutive year, and with a streamlined, more efficient new website courtesy of Joff+Ollie, the Castle Open returns as the most prestigous art competition in the Midlands, exclusively for Midlands-based artists.
No Fee. No CV's. No Statements. Just Art.
We are delighted to welcome Amy Botfield from Arts Council England, and artists Alan Kane and Maeve Rendle as judges this year, each with a wealth of experience between them that will make a wondeful and varied selection. To read more about the selectors, see their profiles on our website.
We will add news, features and announcements about the exhibition, your submissions, the judges, previous prize-winners, and sponsor updates to this blog over the next few months, so please check back from time to time to stay informed.
You have plenty of time to plan your submissions, as the deadline is Midnight on Sunday 18 September (please don't leave it until last minute, entries will strictly close on the chime of midnight - you have been warned!), so make sure you read our artwork guidelines and T&Cs throughly before you enter.
Best of luck!
