Nottingham Beer & Curry Festival Hits Town
Tomorrow (October 13) that a nine-foot mechanical elephant will parade across Long Row to in the front of the Council House, accompanied by dancers and musicians. Diya lamps, made as part of an Arts Council England-funded job, will be floated on the water feature.
What do you need after a few beers? A good curry of course. And this weekend both will be celebrated in Nottingham.
Together with free Diwali celebrations, marking the Hindu Festival of Light, it claims to be a banquet for the senses with dancing, music, poetry and art.
There’ll be curry at the square: Traditional curries, Indian sweets and kulfi ice creams will be on sale.
